The LE Femmes network, of which PescaDOLUS is the Secretariat, was launched at a luncheon at UN City, Copenhagen as part of FishCRIME 2018. Graciously hosted by the Network’s Chair, Medina Thiam, the launch encouraged interaction between women fisheries crime law enforcement officers and researchers in the field towards building a strong network shaped by the needs and interests of its members. PescaDOLUS discussed its working paper on gendered aspects of fisheries crime law enforcement alongside a number of presentations speaking to specific lived experiences of women in the field. A dedicated LE Femme website will be launched shortly.
